Meet Dr. Rob Campbell, DC, DACNB – Portland, Maine Chiropractor & Chiropractic Neurologist

Born and raised in Rhode Island, Dr. Rob Campbell grew up surrounded by chiropractic care — both of his parents are chiropractors, and the profession has shaped his life from an early age. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology from the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine, before completing his Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Life Chiropractic College West in California, where he and his wife graduated as co-valedictorians. Together, they practiced in California, Montana, and Rhode Island before establishing roots in Portland, Maine, where they now own and operate Absolute Health Chiropractic & Massage.

Dr. Rob’s clinical passion lies in understanding and optimizing the nervous system’s connection to health, movement, and recovery. He completed over 300 hours of postdoctoral training through the Carrick Institute and is a board-certified Chiropractic Neurologist (DACNB) through the American Chiropractic Neurology Board. His expertise allows him to address complex conditions including disc herniations, spinal stenosis, and chronic pain syndromes through a functional neurological lens.

He is recognized as a master technician in multiple techniques — including Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, Activator, Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT), Flexion-Distraction, and Extremity Adjusting — ensuring safe, effective, and tailored care for every patient.

Outside the Office

When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Rob enjoys exploring Maine’s trails and mountains with his wife, Dr. Lauren Doering-Campbell, their daughter Charleigh, and their golden retriever, Talya. He’s an avid mountain biker, skier, and outdoor enthusiast who loves staying active across New England’s four seasons.
